Virtual Try-On, Camera & Photo Consent

Version 1.0 · Effective October 22, 2026 · Prepared for review by New Jersey counsel.

1. Who requests consent

The jewelry store you are visiting runs this customer session using JewelVi technology. The store is responsible for your consultation and for its own privacy practices; its name is shown in the kiosk, and you can ask any staff member for its privacy contact. JewelVi processes information to provide the try-on as described in its Privacy Policy and its agreement with the store.

2. Camera and body tracking

Live try-on starts only after you choose it, agree on screen and allow camera access on the device. The camera image is analyzed on the device to estimate where your hand, wrist or neck is so virtual jewelry can be placed. Those video frames and position points stay on the device: they are not uploaded, not saved and not used to identify you. Tracking accuracy varies by device and conditions, and sizes shown are estimates.

3. Photos

A try-on photo is saved only if you also allow photo saving and then you or staff tap the photo button. Saved photos are stored privately in the store's project for your design, so the store can review it with you. If you upload your own photo for try-on, it is stored the same way. Photos are not emailed automatically and are never used for advertising or public promotion without a separate written release.

4. Voice controls

Voice commands are optional, start only when the microphone button is tapped and can be stopped at any time. Your device's or browser's speech service converts speech to text and may process it on the vendor's servers (for example Apple or Google). JewelVi does not record or save audio. Every action can also be done by touch.

5. Your choices

There are two separate choices, both off until you select them: (1) "I agree to camera-based virtual try-on and understand it is an estimate." (2) "I agree to save my try-on photos to my design project." Neither choice includes marketing consent. You can leave try-on at any time, and you can ask the store to delete saved photos.

6. Sensitive and biometric data

JewelVi does not create, store or transmit face templates, faceprints or other biometric identifiers from try-on. If that ever changes, JewelVi will update this notice and ask for the separate consent the law requires before turning it on.

7. Minors and retention

Customers under 18 should use try-on with a parent or guardian, and the store must obtain guardian permission where required. Saved photos are kept with the store's design project and deleted under the retention schedule in JewelVi's Privacy Policy, or sooner when the store deletes them. JewelVi contact: legal@jewelvi.com.

8. Consent record

JewelVi records the consent text version, the date and time, the design project, and which choices were selected. It does not record more than that.
